Abstract
An interdisciplinary play-oriented program, based on drama, group research, and various games was designed to stimulate students, creativity and was implemented in one urban and one rural public elementary school in Yugoslavia at ages 7 - 11. Results of qualitative formative and summative evaluations from a five-year longitudinal study show that the program produces highly significant improvement in students creativity, motivation to learn, and expressive behaviors. The program successfully integrates different subjects, cultural contents and cognitive, affective, conative, and social goals of education.
