Abstract
At White Elementary School in Tucson, Arizona, gifted children had an exciting opportunity to participate in a summer program in which Discovering Intellectual Strengths and Capabilities while Observing Varied Ethnic Responses (DISCOVER) was combined with Thinking Actively in a Social Context (TASC). DISCOVER provided the framework for defining open-ended and structured problems and exploration of multiple ability areas while TASC provided the framework for guiding the problem solving process.
