Abstract
Stories are a traditional source of entertainment, but they can also teach children about themselves, their place in the world and how relationships are established and develop. Stories can help children to move from their own limited life experiences into a world beyond their own, help them to solve problems and make a range of interesting and sometimes surprising connections.
