Abstract
This article describes the role of a psychoeducational intervention, the Creativity Workshop as an example of differentiation involving — the identification of abilities and their appropriation by youth enrolled in a social program in the suburbs of São Paulo, Brazil It describes the way the Creativity Workshop can be introduced in educational programs for low income youth. The results obtained in one workshop program, include its role in deepening reflections on the conditions impairing recognition and actualization of the abilities of the participants, who are involved with basic survival issues, physical and emotional In activities promoting free expression and the deepening of self-knowledge and interpersonal relationships, in a challenging and accepting environment, the 20 youngsters participating in this project had the opportunity to discover their potential, and redesign their future.
