This article is offered in a Socratic spirit: it hopes to raise questions, provoke thought, and springs from the healthy ignorance of its author. It does not claim to represent the views of SAPERE. Finally, it aim to:raise questions about ‘raising questions’, and the purpose of education in the 21st Centurysuggest ‘wiser education’ as a useful reflection tooloffer Philosophy for Children as a practical starting point for ‘wise classroom practice’.
