Abstract
The higher extraordinary processes which regulate task analysis and the self-control of each one's behaviour for solving problems, are considered an important component to identify the gifted among average students.
Some of the gifted children's most important features are metacognition, information processing, specially with regard to automatic processing. Besides, the gifted start to use spontaneously effective strategies from an early age. Furthermore, gifted children know not only which kind of processing they use to solve problems, but they also are capable of verbalising the strategies they use.
This paper deals with the study of solving complicated problems, for which the famous Hanoi's tower problem has been used. Hanoi's Tower involves perceptive operations, complicated strategies to make the movements sequential and the memory operative.
