This article consists of a critique of New Labour's pension policies as set out in the Green Paper Partnership in Pensions. It outlines the key developments in pensions policy over the last 20 years and describes the review process that Labour started in Opposition. It ends by showing the extent to which New Labour's policies in this field continue those of the previous Conservative governments.
