Abstract
Economic relations between the United States and Latin America remain strong and should continue to be vital for the coming decades. While both the US and Latin American countries are beginning to adjust to the rising economic power and evolving role of Asian nations in the global economy, the rumors of the demise of this long-standing partnership have been greatly exaggerated. This paper demonstrates the continuing importance of economic ties and discusses the reasons that both parties should focus on enhancing relationships now.
