Abstract
The present study examines perceptions of the quality of work life among a sample of Indian employees. Data are obtained from managerial executives through structured questionnaires and are used to illustrate their perceptions concerning QWL. Results from the factor analysis suggest four dimensions of QWL labeled, favorable work environment, personal growth and autonomy nature of job, and stimulating opportunities and co-workers. The results provide a useful benchmark measure of QWL in India. Overall, the findings support conceptualizations of factors involved in perceived QWL derived from different parts of the world and the implications of the research findings are discussed.
