Comments on the Empirical Investigation of Women Managers: Their Fears

Abstract

In the October-December 1999 issue of Vikalpa (Vol 24, No 4), we had published an article titled “Fear of Success among Women Managers” by Sanghamitra Buddhapriya, which was an attempt to study the impact of managerial level and sex-role orientation on fear of success.

In this rejoinder to her article, Rosen John discusses some of the shortcomings of the article especially with regard to the choice of sampling techniques selected and the narrow spectrum from which the respondents were chosen.
