Abstract
Effprts towards organizing seed production have yielded positive though inadequate results in terms of seed multiplication and distribution. A wide gap still exists between demand and supply in the seed industry in India today.
In this article, Gurdev Singh and Seetharaman analyse the structure of the seed industry and examine various aspects related to the management of seed research, seed multiplication and its distribution. They also suggest suitable policies to facilitate these activities.
