Abstract
This paper evolves an efficient centralized material delivery sytemsfrom the central depot of a large manufacturing organization to different work areas. The travelling salesman problem has been used in the analysis for minimizing transportation costs. The new design has resulted in economy of resources and greater utilization of the vehicle fleet.
