Abstract
A study was conducted to test the two factor theory of Herzberg in three different types of organizations and at two levels of employees. Seven hundred and eighty- nine male adults from selected organizations were interviewed to reveal their sources of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. The findings indicated that differences in job attitude profiles were not very different. By and large, employees derived satisfaction from motivators and dissatisfaction from hygiene factors in all types of organizations. The findings imply that job enrichment programmes designed around motivators can be undertaken in any type of organization to motivate employees.
