Abstract
International economic crises have pushed many migrants out of employment. At the same time, insecure, unstable and poorly paid jobs increasingly have become available, particularly to women, for whom the already narrow spectrum of available employment opportunities has been even more limited through various restrictions on their entry into the labor market. This article is based on results of a pilot survey of Turkish women in Federal Republic of Germany. The interrelationships between women's roles outside and inside the family and the effects of paid work on women are also discussed.
