Standard delicate Bellucci scissors are too short for translabyrinthine and middle cranial fossa nerve VIII sections, for separation of acoustic tumors from cranial nerve VII, and for other techniques requiring microscissors in neuro-otologic surgery. A delicate scissors, 2 cm longer, has been designed allowing appropriate length. Sharp dissection in the plane between cranial nerve VII and acoustic tumors has improved postoperative facial function.
