Abstract
Malignant schwannomas are rare in the head and neck, even though benign schwannomas of this area are common. A case of a malignant schwannoma of the fifth cranial nerve with symptoms of otalgia and serous otitis media is described.
About 20 such cases have been reported in the literature.
