Abstract
Program Description:
This miniseminar is designed to help physicians in the Academy find ways to become leaders in their own environments. The panelists will include leaders within national organizations such as the AAO-HNS, ACGME, and ACS, as well as local leaders, including a department chair and residency program director. Emphasis will be placed on career crossroads and how to navigate them. Several of the panelists are women and will comment on experiences unique to female leaders in our field.
Educational Objectives:
1) Recognize individualized ways to become leaders in various environments. 2) Characterize the role of medical leaders in our departments, institutions, clinical specialties, and national organizations. 3) Apply leadership principles to everyday practice.
