Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to describe a case of advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma from our practice and discuss the controversies of surgical treatment.
Method: We present a 13-year-old boy who underwent external resection of advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma at the Gazi University medical faculty otorhinolaryngology department, in 2012.
Results: No complication was seen after surgery. Postoperative radiotherapy was given for small residual tumor.
Conclusion: Surgical treatment is the basic tactics in management of advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma. Stage of the tumor is the main factor contributing to the choice of the appropriate surgical approach.
