The Secondary School Assistant Principal as Education Leader: The New York City Experience

Abstract

All across the United States, education and schools are being restruc tured in the hope that school systems can better provide for the needs of students. Restructuring not only entails designing a curriculum, creating state-of-the-art school plants, and developing new educa tional programs and procedures, it also involves taking a look at the roles school supervisors play in preparing school staff members to do a more effective job.
