It is not to become engineers that our young people need math. While the changing technology of our world is indeed a rationale for devel oping mathematical skills and knowledge, there is an even more com pelling reason. Ultimately, math comes easily to no one. It is precise ly in this struggle that math offers the most to our youngsters.
