Evaluation is a fact of life for any teacher. If evaluation is to be an effective tool for improving one's work, however, it must make sense. One group of educators who feel that customary evaluation practices do not make sense are library media specialists, who frequently indi cate they are not evaluated at all or are evaluated in a manner that does not accurately reflect what they do.
