The Moss Point School District in Mis sissippi developed a comprehensive plan to help students understand text organization, use semantic mapping, and apply writing process stages in the various content subjects. Teachers were taught to implement classroom strategies and to assess and docu ment students' writing growth. The plan was installed in one high school and two junior high schools, and suc cess rates and examples are provided.
