Abstract
Robert Binswanger, head- master of the Boston Latin Academy since 1983, has a wealth of experience in teach ing and administration. He had a long association with universities in both the U.S. and Japan as well as with gov ernment agencies that includ ed HEW and the U.S. Office of Education during the 1960s and 1970s. In a recent conversation with Bulletin Editor Tom Koerner, he talked about the importance of principals, discussing everything from their leadership role and the reform studies to teacher preparation programs and effective instruction for today's youth.
