Pulling no punches, B. Frank Brown reveals the findings of Task Force '74. The problems American education will face in the next 25 years are problems the country has not dealt with before: declining school enrollment, aging teaching staff, and general decline of interest in education. In addition, the future of principals is already on thin ice in some cities. The author's remarks about unions explain why.
