Abstract
The principal must be given authority and must be involved in the processes of decision making if he is to fulfill his leadership role in the school, the author says. In this article, Hatch delineates the principal's role in the legislative process, the bargaining process, and the griev ance process. He also touches on what the principal should do during the extremity of a strike.
