Abstract
The principal's role in grievance procedures differs from system to system, depending largely on governing policies and agreements. Whether there is a detailed negotiated contract or uni laterally adopted board policy, there must be order and structure if the principal's position is to be tenable. Here are two articles on grievance procedures, one dealing with a highly struc tured, the other with a vague and arbitrary situation.
