The space program is more than putting men on the moon; it is an unprecedented search for new and fundamental knowledge, says Mr. von Braun. Yet there is a current hostility toward science and technology, representing reaction to overemphasis following Russia's early space success. He appeals to principals to check the current swing of the pendulum.
