Abstract
The EPIE Institute is a nonprofit membership organiza tion which collects and synthesizes information on the performance characteristics and other factors affecting suit ability and usefulness of instructional materials, equip ment, and systems. General findings of the Institute are reported to EPIE members in EPIE Reports, compilations of decision-focused evaluative information about specific products. Members may obtain in addition specialized information directed at their own curriculum and equip ment problems.
Members of NASSP (a charter member of the EPIE In stitute Advisory Board) will find in these columns peri odically a brief discussion of some aspect of the principal's responsibility in connection with the selection of appro priate educational products for use in the high school. They are encouraged to join the Institute to receive addi tional selection information and to take advantage of the Institute's services in connection with training selectors. Membership is $35 a year; applications should be sent to the Institute at Box 245, Kingston, New Jersey 08528.
