Abstract
The EPIE Institute is a nonprofit membership organiza tion which collects and synthesizes information on the per formance characteristics and other factors affecting suita bility and usefulness of instructional materials, equipment, and systems. General findings of the Institute are reported to EPIE members in EPIE Reports, compilations of deci sion-focused evaluative information. about specific products. Members may obtain in addition specialized information directed at their own curriculum and equipment problems.
Members of NASSP (a charter member of the EPIE In stitute Advisory Board) will find in these columns periodi cally a brief discussion of some aspect of the principal's re sponsibility in connection with the selection of appropriate educational products for use in the high school. They are encouraged to join the Institute to receive additional selec tion information and to take advantage of the Institute's services in connection with training selectors. Membership is $35 a year; applications should be sent to the Institute at Box 245, Kingston, N. J. 08528.
