Abstract
The EPIE Institute is a nonprofit membership organi zation which collects and synthesizes information on the performance characteristics and other factors affecting suitability and usefulness of instructional materials, equipment, and systems. General findings of the Institute are reported to EPIE members in EPIE Reports, compila tions of decision-focused evaluative information about specific products. Members may obtain in addition specialized information directed at their own curriculum and equipment problems.
Members of NASSP (a charter member of the EPIE Institute Advisory Board) will find in these columns periodically a brief discussion of some aspect of the principal's responsibility in connection with the selection of appropriate educational products for use in the high school. They are encouraged to join the Institute to receive additional selection information and to take ad vantage of the Institute's services in connection with training selectors. Membership is $35 a year; applications should be sent to the Institute at Box 245, Kingston, N.J. 08528.
