Abstract
Scholastically handicapped children tend to lose, while on summer vacation, many of the desirable habits and attitudes gained during the school year. Mayfield High School designed a pro gram, at that time believed to be the first of its kind in the country, to enable slow learning stu dents to have continuing work-study training during the summer. The primary goal is to in crease the students' employability.
