Abstract
What follows is a detailed account of how a curriculum for individualized pacing can break the lockstep of traditional classroom teaching. With the programed unipac approach, the student has several well-defined options both during the unit of study and upon its comple tion. Howard says that the difficulties of writing lesson plans for individually-paced instruction are more than adequately compensated for by the rewards of so doing.
