Abstract
Four basic ingredients conducive to the suc cess of San Diego's community involvement programs are: (1) school principals' receptivity to change, (2) program planners' honesty with parents and students, (3) action and follow- through on plans and promises, and (4) the impartial attitudes and positions of community relations advisors when working on school- community problems.
