Abstract
"I've spent a great portion of my life writing letters of application for teaching positions to school districts all over the western half of the United States. Laboriously I have typed these letters with an uncommonly high degree of per fection, never erasing, always making certain that the 8½x11 inch sheet of high quality bond was perfect to a fault. I've displayed unusual courage by enclosing a photograph of myself."
