Abstract
As one step in the three-year study of consumer education that has been undertaken by the National Association of Secon dary-School Principals, Dr. Wilhelms has made an exhaustive analysis of the contents of the textbooks in the field. From his re port the material for the following article has been drawn. The purposes stated by the authors of the textbooks will be presented to a considerable number of critics for supplementation and evalu ation. The results should give valuable guidance to constructive work in the field.
