If the curriculum is to serve as a dynamic tool for creating high qual ity student learning opportunities, it will require a dynamic, real-time process for learning about its implementation. Shifting the focus to curriculum implementation monitoring will help districts and schools achieve that goal and give a special focus to the principal's instruc tional leadership responsibilities.
