Regulatory Forum: Tuomari et al. (2007), “Society of Toxicologic Pathology Position Paper on Pathology Image Data: Compliance with 21 CFR Parts 58 and 11,” published in Toxicologic Pathology, volume 35, pages 450–55.
We are pleased to announce that, following agreement between the Society of Toxicologic Pathology and Sage Publications, the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology (JSTP) has republished the above article in volume 21, number 4 of their society’s journal, the Journal of Toxicologic Pathology. The JSTP has further requested that we formally acknowledge that the JSTP board of directors fully endorses and supports the content of the above mentioned position paper.
It is with some pleasure that this interaction has occurred, and the republishing of the article by the JSTP is yet further evidence of the truly global cooperation that the societies of toxicologic pathology are engaged in. With the trend toward standardizing practices in toxicology throughout the world, the pathology societies should congratulate themselves that sound practices promoted in one society should be adopted and supported by other societies throughout the world. Long may the cooperation of the brotherhood of toxicologic pathology continue.
