The formulation of public policy in nations of a non-democratic nature takes different forms and depends on whether the nations govern from the left or the right. Both have command style governments. I review how policies affect the family; arts, education and language; land, property and possessions; nuclear energy and economic development. Some conclu sions are drawn about states without a tolerated opposition.
