Abstract
Office Automation (OA) training management is wide and complex. Broad activities include goal setting, strate gic planning, training programmes coordination and resource allocation, courses methodologies selection, actual running and training evaluation. In order to provide an initial picture of the current OA training practices to the local OA plan ners/trainers, a survey was conducted of over 400 local train ers earlier last year (1992) to find out the general training methodology adopted by Hong Kong firms and public organi sations (response rate = 12.7%). This paper reports the find ings of the survey and provides recommendations on the general direction in which local organisations should head.
