The infrastructure of libraries and information cen tres in Qatar consists of a national library, 24 public libraries, 20 school libraries, h university libraries, 150 special libraries and 150 private collections. Statistics on the collections, man power and services in these libraries are presented. Private libraries and library education in Qatar are discussed in detail, while curricula, courses and credits in library education are dealt with especially thoroughly.
