A survey of managers in the electronics industry showed that only 11% read any foreign language material. Newspapers and journals were considered a prime source of market infor mation. The average manager spends 2.6 hours per week reading, mainly at home. He reads seven journals with the Financial Times considered the most essential reading. 47% would prefer a single source for all their information needs.
