Viewdata as a useful tool in the automated office is de scnbed. Of particular importance is the way pages are to be identified so as to afford the user a more friendly access to information within the viewdata system. An approach to as signing names as well as numbers to the pages is described. Also descnbed are the implications of this identification sys tem.
