Abstract
This paper analyses data extracted from Inventory of Ab stracting and Indexing Services Produced in the UK, 3rd ed. by J. Stephens, in order to present a brief survey of the abstracting and indexing services community in the UK, indicating trends since 1983, and focusing on the online availability of services.
