With the increase in the use of Information Technology, management information is fast becoming a major product of many organisations. When Information is costed most organisa tions still treat it as a simple overhead cost. This paper is an attempt to formalise this approach to costing management information, so giving a more realistic approach. The paper deals with different types of cost and produces a procedure for developing more objective management information costs.
