A research project at the Edinburgh School of Agriculture has examined the problems associated with the management of information by and for agricultural advisers. The project has reviewed the information at present available to these users and studied information use by advisers, both in the office and in the field. It is clear that more effort needs to be concentrated on the production of information which fits the needs of the jobs.
