Abstract
A computerized documents acquisition management system integrated into a general design for computer applications in lihrary and information processes is described. System capabili ties include online inquiry about documents on order, print-out of orders and reminders, generation of reports and statistics, creation of database for computerized reference/bibliographi cal services. etc. Input files, input preparation, record structure. and the INQUIRY and UPDATE functions are described briefly. DAIS, currently implemented on a UNIVAC 90/30 computer, uses the software IMS 90 for communication inter face while the application programs are written in COBOL.
