Abstract
The findings seemed to suggest that federal civil servants in Nigeria preferred full-length, onginal documents to summaries although there was a reported strong preference for reviews of such documents. These results would seem to contradict the findings reported for similar information users in other parts of the world. It was suggested that until more disaggregated data became available and more was known about the quality and vanety of information processors/disseminators available to Nigerian policy-makers, it would be dangerous to use the findings reported here as the basis for planning the nature and level of information services to Nigerian policy-makers.
