Abstract
A bibliographic retrieval system running on a Commodore microcomputer is described, together with the background to the development of the software and the reasons for selecting this approach, rather than the more conventional main-frame system. The system was designed to be operated by non-infor mation staff and to allow for a wide range of different docu ment types.
