Abstract
Six hundred and eight corporations were surveyed to assess the nuumber that had developed no-smoking policies and the content of each program. The results indicated that 25% had a written policy and 35% were interested in developing one. Small and medium-size companies with no-smoking areas employed fewer smokers. This relationship was in the reverse direction for larger companies. Company size had a strong effect on most of the outcome measures. The implications of these findings are discussed.
