A multidimensional oral hygiene curriculum composed of toothbrushing, flossing, and gum stimulation and massage components is presented to educator/trainers of the moderately, severely, and profoundly handicapped. The field tested data-based criterion referenced curriculum includes procedures for IEPs, data collection and recording, formative and summative evaluation, a transdisciplinary component, as well as a comprehensive discussion of content and methodology.
